🚗 Getting Here & Staying Here: What to Know • Rural Location & Wi-Fi The cabin is nestled in a remote stretch of the Shenandoah Valley — perfect for unplugging and unwinding! 📵🌲 That said, the Wi-Fi is limited and not suitable for streaming or remote work. We encourage guests to embrace the digital detox and soak in the natural beauty instead. 💆♀️✨ • Access Road The final stretch to the cabin is an unpaved country road. Most front-wheel drive vehicles do just fine, but low-clearance or sports cars and motorcycles are not recommended. ⚠️ During extreme weather (heavy rain, snow, or ice), the road may become difficult to navigate. Please check the forecast before your trip. If road access becomes a concern, we’re happy to work with you to reschedule or adjust your reservation — just reach out! • Septic System The cabin runs on a septic system, so please flush only toilet paper and human waste. 🚽❌ No wipes, hygiene products, or anything else — even if labeled “flushable.” ✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $2500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $59 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional. To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots. Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay.
